Paul Shusaku Foujino (1925-1982) was a Japanese abstract artist influenced by both western abstract expressionism and eastern traditions of painting. In particular his ink wash paintings echo the Doaist and Zen tradition in Chinese and Japanese art. Although born in Japan he lived in France and died in Fontenay-aux-Roses in 1982.
