In the 1920s, Eduard Schweitzer, a designer at Waechtersbach from 1921 to 1929, led the transition of the company’s ceramics from the ornate, colourful styles of Art Nouveau and early Art Deco to a more minimalist aesthetic, emphasising clean lines, bold symmetry.

Also listed a variation of a smaller one on a raised foot.
