French 1940s Ebonized Desk attributed to Jacques Adnet
A beautiful Italian dining table attributed to Paolo Buffa, with a marquetry top of serpentine abstract form, circa 1940. Raised on two large, geometrically tapering legs connected by decorative carved gilt spacers. The underside and top of the table are curved, allowing a heavy glass top to slide in.
Possibly a unique commission created to order, this is a superb piece of Italian design and craftsmanship from the Cantù district.
